First off, Calyn and Zach are the sweetest couple and we are so happy they chose to include us in their wedding day!

Their wedding venue was The Greenery in Amite City, LA, and if you haven’t been to a wedding there, you are missing out! They have space for both the bridal party and the groomsmen to get ready and hang out prior to the ceremony. Getting ready on the grounds is so convenient! From the outdoor ceremony area to the reception hall and everything in-between, this is a beautiful venue.

Calyn and Zach decided on doing a first look. They had also written letters to read before seeing each other, which was an adorable touch!

After seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day, we took advantage of the daylight and took some time to get bride and groom photos. This is only one reason why we love first looks! You get that extra time together and get a good chunk of your photos out of the way before your ceremony.

After we took some of just Calyn and Zach, we had the wedding party and immediate family join us for some group photos!

We finished up with plenty of time for the bride and groom to head back to the getting ready suites to hide from the arriving guests.

It was finally time for the ceremony to begin! Calyn peeked out of the balcony curtains that overlooked where the wedding party was lined up until it was her turn to meet her father to walk down the aisle.

The ceremony was beautiful as the sun began to set behind the couple.

After the ceremony, we took just a couple family portraits and some husband and wife photos. After a private moment together it was time to announce the new Mr. And Mrs. Thornton!

Calyn and Zach chose Shania Twain’s You’re Still the One for their first dance. Calyn and her father danced to Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlise and Zach and his mom danced to Don’t Blink by Kenny Chesney. The first dances are always so sweet, they make us tear up!

To wrap up the dances, the band, the Dominos,  began to play Brown Eyed Girl for Calyn and her mom to dance to then they opened the dance floor for everyone.

The dance floor stayed packed all night as guests enjoyed the live music, great food,  and a photobooth!

They ended the night with a sparkler exit before driving off in the back of their get away car.

Calyn and Zach, your wedding was so much fun! Congratulations and we wish you a marriage full of love and joy!

Advice from the bride: When planning a wedding, it can get stressful especially as it gets closer. The best advice I ever got was “If it won’t matter in a year, don’t worry about it and just let it go.”
