It was a beautiful Saturday to have a wedding at Bayou Barn, a rustic venue in Marrero, Louisiana.

We started our evening meeting at Harley’s mom’s house. Harley was getting her hair done by her mom, while hanging out with her daughter and sister.  All of the bridal party had met up earlier in the morning and got their makeup done at Dazzle dolls then went separate ways for their hair. Even though the girls were all at different locations, they all wore oversized button down monogrammed shirts. While Harley was still getting her hair done, we took the time to take a few detail shots! She had the most gorgeous teardrop engagement ring with a perfect wedding band!

Amber headed to the hotel where the guys were getting ready. When she arrived, Michael was prepared and had all of his details ready. Michael had a gift box for each of his groomsmen. Inside of each was a monogrammed tumbler, flask and of course a few couple mini bottles of liquor!

Harley soon reunited with her girls at the venue. All the girls arrived in their dresses, but Harley and her daughter got dressed in the bridal suite! Once everyone was ready, we pulled them outside to get a few shots of Harley and her girls. Once we got those done, we pulled Harley aside to get some of her in her beautiful dress! We knew Michael should be arriving soon so then we had everyone go back into the bridal suite to freshen up and wait until it was time for the ceremony.

Angela then went to capture detail shots of the venue and ceremony spots. Once Michael arrived, Amber took the guys to get their group shots and individuals. Michael’s mom and sister also joined in to get some of them together.

The guests then started arriving and their ceremony spots filled up quickly. Everyone processed down a beautiful pathway that opened up to the ceremony spot. As Harley walked down the aisle, Michael’s face lit up with a big ole’ smile!  It was a simple yet beautiful ceremony that ended with their perfect first kiss as Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

We took a few photos on a little porch the venue had, knocked out family portraits, and then it was time to party!

The D.J announced the newlyweds and everyone cheered as they entered the dancefloor! They shared a sweet first dance to Prayed for you by Matt Stell. Harley then shared an emotional dance with her father to My Little Girl by Tim McGraw. Michael also had a tear jerker of a dance with his Mom to A Song for Mama by Boys II Men.

After the first dances it was time to cut the cake! The wedding cake was a stunning four tier traditional cake with a cascade of pink and maroon flowers, and the groom’s cake had two deer on top and read “The hunt is over”. How cute!

Guests enjoyed food, dancing, a second line and ended the night with a sparkler exit.

Harley and Michael, we wish you many years of love and happiness. Thank you for choosing us to capture your wedding day!
