We had a great time celebrating Brandi and John’s wedding day!

Capturing the small details of a wedding day is one of the moments where we can really let our creativity flow. We love when there are personal details to photograph. Brandi and John had several! Brandi had a picture of her grandfather, who had passed away shortly after John proposed, tied to her bouquet. She also had a piece of one of his shirts made into the shape of a heart and sewn into her dress. And as a surprise, John wrote the sweetest note on the bottom of one of Brandi’s shoes!

Many brides choose to have “first looks”. This is where we capture the moment that someone special to you, whether it be the groom, your bridesmaids, dad or just someone close to you, sees you in your dress for the first time. It can be a really special experience!

Brandi chose to have a first look with her grandmother, that she lovingly calls YaYa, and John’s Aunt Irene. It was such a sweet moment. As Brandi walked down the stairs at her mother’s house, the look on their faces was priceless!

She also had a first look with bridesmaids. They all gushed at how beautiful of a bride Brandi was!

The ceremony as well as the reception were held at Magnolia Plantation and Events.

You could see the emotions start to come out as Brandi fanned away tears. Before walking her down the aisle, YaYa took Brandi’s hands and helped calm her nerves. When John saw Brandi walking down the aisle you could see a few tears run down his face.

The wedding cake had THE cutest bobblehead cake toppers that were made to look like Brandi and John! And the grooms cake was superman themed just like John’s shirt that he wore under his tux!

They had a beautiful first dance to Prayed for You by Matt Stell. After their first dance, Brandi’s mom gave a very heartfelt speech.

The wedding had personal touches such as having Brandi’s grandfather’s favorite joke framed on the bar.

“What happened to the Indian that drank too much tea? He drowned in his teepee!”

We had so much fun dancing at the reception to some throwback 90s songs! There were some epic dance moves and even some dance battles going on all night!

They ended the night being serenaded by their friends to Time of Your Life by Green day. It was a sweet and unexpected send off!

Brandi and John, we wish for you nothing less than a beautiful marriage full of love and happiness!
